Based in France, De Rerum Natura produces incredible yarns in a sophisticated, modern palette.  The yarns are small batch, artisan creations that knit into garments & accessories that will be treasured for a lifetime.  Slow fashion is exemplified in the laborious process to spin & dye each of the yarns.  All of the unbleached wool in De Rerum Natura yarns come from Arles Marino sheep.  The 21.5 micron wool is extremely soft, durable & has a gorgeous elasticity due to the pronounced crimp of the fleece.  These happy sheep pasture in the southeast of France with the best possible breeding practices.

Berenice is one of the softest silk-mohair blends to knit.  Super kid mohair (from ethically raised South African extra fine Angora goats) & organic Arles Merino wool are spun around a silk thread giving this yarn an incredible halo & subtle sheen.  Knit alone for light, airy wraps & accessories, hold double for a more substantial gauge or hold alongside a favorite yarn to add a fluffy halo & depth of color.

The soft, modern palette is ideal for gorgeous cardigans, pullovers & accessories.

Country of Origin: Bérénice is a unique blend of extra-fine Angora goat fibres from South African farms committed to animal welfare and the soft, plump wool of our organic Merinos d'Arles, spun into loops around a strong, shiny silk yarn, then combed to give the desired tousled, voluminous look.  The yarn is then dyed using ecological dyes that comply with GOTS specifications to reduce its environmental impact. We manufacture this very special yarn in Italy, near Biella.
